Since living in Israel for some time, I have realized that Zionism has not only maintained its original stance of being "Patriotic to the Jewish State" but that it has also evolved in so many ways...

The definition of Zionism is "the national movement for the return of the Jewish people to their homeland and the resumption of Jewish sovereignty in the Land of Israel, advocated, from its inception, tangible as well as spiritual aims. The term 'Zionism' was coined in 1890 by Nathan Birnbaum." (source)

This definition, as any, just does not express enough the real meaning of what Zionism actually is today and what it means to me and so many others.

Most of the world has a very distorted impression of what Zionism actually is. This distorted view has sparked off the many anti-Zionist movements that we see today...The problem is that their out-of-context view of factual Zionist events from the past has left a stain on their real understanding of Zionism, its evolvement and what modern Zionism has become today... The categorization of Zionism as a form of Nazism, racism, land theft and Arab-oppression is a clear indication that the anti-Zionist movements of today do not understand the events leading up to the establishment of Israel and the events that followed in a relative manner... They also completely ignore the legality of Israels establishment as noted in UN Resolution 181... I believe they have indulged in too much Palestinian/anti-Israel propaganda...

Glenn Beck calls Christians towards philo-Semitism, philo-Zionism

In his insightful remarks to Christians United for Israel in Washington  July 19, Glenn Beck addresses issues of Christian anti-Semitism, Christian complacency towards the Nazi Holocaust, Jewish fear of Christians, and mankind's obligation to act-up against anti-Semitism and anti-Zionism, and defend Israel against threats, cultural, political, and violent.

"The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is a stage towards the destruction of Israel and the West"- Glenn Beck addresses Israel's Knesset

Introduced by Deputy Speaker of the Knesset, Danny Danon (MK- Likud), Glenn Beck expresses concern that the commotion over his outspoken support for Israel represents a disconcerting, anti-Semitic atmosphere in the West.

The Jerusalem Post reports:
In his classic simplified yet brazen style, the pundit explained "the few things I actually know" about Israel:

1) The Israeli-Palestinian conflict is about destruction of Israel and the West.

2) Anti-semitism is going to go through the roof. When these conditions appear, it's always the Jews fault. It's not about the holocaust, (that's) just the latest in a string of events thousands of years. Holocaust is just the one they made a movie about. It was the same way all the time.

3) The world is about to change, so think differently. Everything you thought you can count on, forget about it, (and) create new systems.

4) The truth shall set you free.

Beck then explained that his plan for Israel advocacy is based on communal outreach. "If you go to a synagogue, reach out to a church. If you go to a church, reach out to a JCC. Say, will you watch this with me? After that we'll talk and eat and get to know one another."

The conservative American pundit also discussed his trip to Auschwitz, and his upcoming documentary about it. He applauded the courage of the Israeli populace, the bravery and resilience of the Jewish people, and the humbling experiences he has every time he visits Israel.

After his speech a long list of MK's thanked Beck for his presence and his support, including Nissim Ze'ev, Ayoub Kara, Einat Wilf, Michael Ben-Ari, and Yulia Shalom-Berkovich, to name a few.

At the end of the talk, Marina Solodkin asked Beck to send George W. Bush her love and to ask US President Obama to free Israeli agent Jonathan Pollard.

To close, Beck said that Israel advocacy was more important than his usual work back in the states. "As a man who also worships the one God, in the times that we live in, it is clear that what is going on is God's work. If we are silent, evil will win. But if we stand up and take charge, God will do the rest."

Beck has visited Israel periodically since he his first trip in 2002, but this is the only time he has addressed the Knesset.

The Audacity of Dopes reveal their Gaza-bound cargo which demanded a flotilla delivery

The daunted sea-Flotilla of guns to Gaza will be augmented Friday with a Fly-tilla into Israel's Ben Gurion Airport. What type of 'aid' was the the flotilla bringing that they couldn't bring through ordinary land-channels, as hundreds of tons of goods are each week?

Israel's Latma parody troupe takes us for a sea-cruise inside the flotilla with the "Guns, guns, guns," music video by the 'Audacity of Dopes' Band.

"Obama, Israel and the Jewish vote" - Jerusalem Post

Obama will undoubtedly continue to enjoy wide support among American Jewry, but this does not mean his Mideast policies will be good for Israel - Jerusalem Post Editorial 7/5/11

Rabbi David Algaze, of Havurat Yisrael in Queens, NY, is dismayed about President Obama. He spoke exclusively with JooTube at NYC's Concert With a Message, June 5, 2011.

JPost Editorial:
It might very well be an exaggeration, however, to claim that the US president is losing the Jewish vote over his policies vis-a-vis Israel.

As JTA’s Washington bureau chief Ron Kampeas blogged recently, AJC surveys in the past four years have shown that Israel has consistently ranked no more than fifth on American Jewish voters’ priority list.

Ranking higher are domestic matters such as unemployment, house prices and health care, and international military conflicts in which US soldiers’ lives were under constant danger.

In addition, a recent Pew Research Center poll found that Americans in general (there was no breakdown for Jews) perceive the Obama administration to have a fundamentally positive approach to Israel. In a survey conducted just days after Obama’s May 19 State Department speech and his May 22 AIPAC address, 50% said the president was striking the right balance in the Middle East situation, while 21% said he favors the Palestinians too much.
