Israel Matzav: How Iran uses the Arabs

A fascinating article in Sunday's New York Times by Iranian Karim Sadjapour provides some insight into how Iran uses Arab Muslims in its war against Israel.

Until now, Iran’s interests have been served by the Arab status quo:
frustrated populations ruled over by emasculated regimes incapable of checking
Israel, and easily dismissed as American co-dependents. A conversation I once
had with a senior Iranian diplomat is instructive.

He complained, justifiably, about Washington’s excessive focus on military
power to solve political problems. I posed a simple hypothetical: What if,
instead of having spent several billion dollars financing Hezbollah, Hamas and
Islamic Jihad over the past three decades, Iran had spent that money educating
tens of thousands of Palestinians and Lebanese Shiites to become doctors,
professors and lawyers? Wouldn’t those communities now be much better off and in
a much stronger position to assert their rights vis-à-vis Israel?“

What good would that have done for Iran?” he responded candidly. (He
himself had a doctorate from a British university.) “Do you think if we sent
them abroad to study they would return to southern Lebanon and Gaza to fight
Israel? Of course not; they would have remained doctors, lawyers and
professors.”

Iran, in essence, understands that it can inspire and champion the region’s
downtrodden and dispossessed, but not the upwardly mobile. Its strategy to
dominate the Middle East hinges less on building nuclear weapons than on the
twin pillars of oil and alienation.

The longer I live here and the more I read, the more convinced I am that it is Islam that is responsible for Israel's dispute with the Arabs.

U.S. Rabbi: Washington's betrayal pressure on Israel is provoking God's wrath against America

Orthodox Rabbi Moshe Parry of Hollywood, California declares that just as America's backed dispossessions of Jews from Gaza drew Hurricane Katrina's dispossessions of Americans in 2005, Washington's betrayal of Israel (through the United Nations) to Obama Admin's beloved Islamic oil cronies is drawing G-d's backlash by destroying America in its coveted, but useless, oil.

 

Orthodox Rabbi Moshe Parry asserts that Obama Admin's policy shift to abandon ally Israel (who routinely votes to support the US in the U.N.) against vexatious U.N. resolutions from Islamic countries - in order to pressure Israel to cede its trusteeship of His Promised Land to Islamic conquistadors (via making the land vulnerable to a Muslim invasion via ceding land for a hostile "state of Palestine") - directly correlates with the BP oil catastrophe along the U.S. Gulf Coast. He claims that this catastrophe parallels the US-endorsed, Israeli eviction of Jewish communities from Gaza exactly 5-summers ago - which resulted in God's foisting Hurricane Katrina to dispossess Americans from their communities in America's Gulf Coast. Rabbi Parry cautions Americans to challenge the Administration over its favor of Islamic oil influence above God's covenant with the Jews for guardianship over Israel. The Rabbi is concerned that Obama's backroom policies against Israel have changed America's favor under God from blessing to curse.

He likens Obama to Pharoah, whose water G-d smote as blood, and whose Red Sea was ultimately turned back against Pharoah's soldiers to drown in it.

Arab warns of PLO agenda; founds "P.Z.O."- Palestinian Zionist Organization

For the first time since pre-State days when Zion and Palestine were synonymous terms, a “Palestinian Zionist Organization” has been established – by Arabs.

The latest Arab to show his public support for Israel is Elias Issa, who describes himself as a “European West-Bank Palestinian.” He writes that he chose a unique approach by which to celebrate Israel’s 62nd birthday – namely, by launching the Palestinian Zionist Organization. He says his goal is “to show the world why it must support the Jewish people and to [distance itself] from the terrorist Palestinian government.”

Statements on the new website include warnings that a new PA state, if it were to arise, would “become the most terrorist state in the world… The Palestinians don't believe in a two-state solution; they only believe in a one-state solution - a land called Palestine [which] does not involve any Jewishness."

Issa, who now lives in the United States, explains that the international community is blind “to what's truly going on in this Middle East conflict. [I hope] to make a difference by shining a different kind of light on the Palestinian-Israeli situation.”

The website notes that “more and more Palestinians” are going public in their support for Israel. Just last month, Mosab Hassan Yousef – the son of a Hamas founder and leader – published his autobiography, detailing how he spied for Israel for a decade, preventing dozens of suicide attacks and exposing numerous terrorist groups. He later converted to Christianity and moved to the U.S.  (by Hillel Fendel in Israel National News).

While the BBC rushes to apologize for televising the saving of more civilian lives from an actual Palestinian atrocity against Jews, why does the media still refuse to apologize for airing Palestinian, 'fabricated- atrocities' which have falsely damned Israel in the world's eye? ..."In this case, as in the case of the lynching eight years ago, the reason the BBC apologized is not because the film's images were too gruesome, but because it strayed from the accepted narratives of the Palestinian war against Israel. To maintain the narratives, "the right editorial balance between the demands of accuracy and the potential impact on the program's audience," is one that engenders the belief that Israel is either morally indistinguishable from the Palestinians, or that Israel is morally inferior to the Palestinians."... "the distorted footage put out by the media made it impossible for Israel to defend itself in the court of public opinion. Like the al-Dura affair, the media's open collusion with the Palestinians in Jenin and Hizbullah in Kafr Kana prolonged false narratives predicated on Israeli aggression which were about to be finally laid to rest."

Ms. Glick asserts, "The media only give us the information (not the truth) they wish us to have."

"It was a slaughterhouse"- Zaka; Muslim slays 8, wounds 40 at Jerusalem's Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva

The attacker entered the yeshiva and opened fire on students before he was gunned down himself by an armed civilian. Witnesses say that the attack began in the seminary's library with the terrorist spraying bullets in every direction before anyone could react.

"It was a slaughterhouse," said Yehuda Meshi-Zahav, head of the Zaka emergency service after surveying the scene at the Merkaz Harav seminary, one of the most prominent Jewish educational centres in Jerusalem.

While most of the students are high-school age, the dead were all thought to be between 20 and 30 years of age.

It was the deadliest attack on Israeli civilians in nearly two years and the first attack inside Jerusalem in four. It occurred at the start of the Hebrew month in which the Purim holiday occurs, and many of the witnesses at first thought the gunfire was firecrackers in celebration.

The part-time yeshiva student who killed the terrorist, 40-year-old Yitzchak Dadon, said that he shot the attacker in the head with his personal weapon. David Shapira, a yeshiva graduate and officer in the paratroopers, heard the shots from his nearby home, ran to the yeshiva and "finished [the terrorist] off."

Asked by a Channel 2 TV reporter what weapon the Palestinian Authority terrorist had, Dadon said, "A Kalachnikov," and turning to the camera, he angrily added, "The Kalachnikov that you gave him, President Peres ..."

The scene outside the yeshiva was furious and passionate, with at least 50 ambulances and as many police cars on the streets outside, and angry yeshiva students and local residents lined up behind police tapes, chanting, “Death to Arabs,” “Olmert — you are to blame” and “Who gave them weapons?”

Daniel Seaman, head of the Israeli government press office, said: “Jerusalem is a town where Jews and Arabs live together. The terrorist took advantage of the fact that he could move freely in west Jerusalem.”

In Gaza City, Palestinians went out into the streets and fired rifles in the air in celebration of the attack against the Jews of Jerusalem. Some fired weapons in the air, and threw sound bombs in the streets, while drivers pressed on their cars horns. Other Palestinians delivered candies and sweets in the streets in celebration. Mosques loudspeakers in Gaza also broadcasted verses of the Quran, the Moslem holy book, with speakers saying "we congratulate our people for the heroic and selective attack in Jerusalem."

The Merkaz HaRav Yeshiva is located near the entrance to Jerusalem, in the Kiryat Moshe neighborhood. The yeshiva, founded by Rabbi Avraham Yitzchak Kook, is at the heart of the national-religious movement in Israel.

Asked what the government should do, Rabbi Nachum Levy, 60, said: “I would like to see Olmert go with a strong hand.” Where? “Everywhere, in Gaza and the north and inside,” he said, “and not dismantle settlements.” (from Israel National News & combined sources)
