Pastor Terry Jones rallies before America's largest mosque in Dearborn; Challenges Iran to release Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani from death row

A delayed court approval limited the ability of Pastor Terry Jones' Stand Up for America organization to organize more than about 2 dozen supporters, but Jones did manage a rally before America's largest mosque on April 7th. By Any Means Necessary mustered a larger opposition, though better kept a distance apart by volunteering policemen than at Jones last Dearborn appearance in June.

Pastor Jones announced his intentions to burn a Quran if Iran doesn’t release an imprisoned pastor sentenced to death sentence after converting from Islam to Christianity. (World Net Daily) Jones said in a radio interview that Iran has until April 28 to release Youcef Nadarkhani, currently facing death for preaching Christianity in Iran.

Florida pastor draws more critics than supporters at Dearborn rally

Speaking in front of the biggest mosque in Michigan, the Florida pastor known for burning the Quran blasted Islam and called upon Americans to take back their country. "Islam has one goal -- that is world domination," said Jones, wearing sunglasses, jeans and a faded black leather jacket. "It's time to stand up." Holding signs that read "I Will Not Submit," about 20 supporters cheered as Jones and his assistant spoke outside the Islamic Center of America, a Dearborn mosque that sits off Ford Road. Framed by the mosque's minarets, Jones said he is concerned that the growth of the Muslim population in metro Detroit and the U.S. will lead to the oppression of non-Muslims. "Muslims, no matter where they go around the world ... they push their agenda on the society," Jones said. "We must take back America."

The mosque was placed on lockdown Saturday afternoon, with about 30 police cars from Detroit, Dearborn, Wayne County and the State of Michigan surrounding the area, which also includes several churches. Traffic in and out was prevented, disappointing some worshipers who were not aware of Jones' rally and could not access the mosque. During the anti-Muslim rally, an electronic billboard at the Islamic Center read, "Happy Easter."

About 500 feet from Jones was a group of about 50 counter-protesters, some of whom were with By Any Means Necessary, a militant group rooted in Communism that uses confrontational tactics. Police prevented them from approaching the grassy area in front of the mosque where Jones spoke. Muslim leaders had urged people not to attend Saturday's counter-protest.

Unlike Jones' last two visits to Dearborn, this one was uneventful, with no arrests and no street clashes. In June, Dearborn police arrested six counter-protesters who confronted Jones as he walked toward the Arab festival in Dearborn after he held an anti-Islam rally at Dearborn City Hall.

And two months before that, in April 2011, police arrested some counter-protesters after they swarmed across Michigan Avenue to challenge Jones as he was speaking at City Hall.

The University of California at Irvine has earned a reputation for the radical, anti-Israel activities of Muslim advocacy groups, particularly the Muslim Student Union. They host an annual anti-Zionist, Israel Apartheid Week. Their conspiracy to disrupt a speech by Israel's Ambassador Michael Oren in 2010 resulted in a convictions and a banning of the MSU on campus for a semester. Events they have organized bring radical Islamists who have incited "Death to America" and "Death to Israel" and contribute to an uncomfortable climate for Jews and Zionists.

A pro-America and Israel "Stand Up America Now" rally organized for Thursday, December 1st by Dr. Terry Jones and Pastor Wayne Sapp was precluded by UCI administration. Jones and Sapp were confronted by the UC Irvine Police Department and, by order of the University Chancellor, threatened with arrest when they arrived for a scheduled interview with journalism Associate Professor Carol Burke in advance of the rally.  

The Administration cited safety concerns as the reason to prohibit Dr. Jones from speaking. What's more,  police issued both men citations - and warned them that they would be arrested if they would return to the campus within a week.

US Senate candidate Rabbi Nachum Shifren (I-CA) and other supporters of Stand Up America Now were escorted off campus. Parts of the University were shut down in order to prevent the rally (and the scheduled counter-rally) from taking place. 

Dr Terry Jones and Wayne Sapp declared their intention to pursue legal action against the University.


Rabbi Nachum Shifren believes that the administration was not incapable of providing adequate security for the conservative speakers, but more like unwilling.  In our exclusive video interview, Shifren alleges that the Administration is acting in the interest of Muslim power in the school, in prohibiting Stand Up America Now's criticism of radicalism, Islamism, and jihadism.

Rabbi Nachum Shifren joined Pastor Terry Jones and Pastor Wayne Sass to draw attention to the bigotry of Muslim supremacism over Americanism - evident in large Muslim population areas around the world, such as America's largest Muslim community, in Dearborn, Michigan.



Left-wing activist organizers, By Any Means Necessary ("BAMN"), roused an aggressive protest to the No-Sharia for Americans Rally and absent adequate police protection for Pastor Terry Jones, physically impeded his contingent's march to the Arab Festival.



BAMN seemed to mis-interpret the political nature of the No-Sharia Rally, to rally opposition by accusing Pastor Jones and Rabbi Shifren of racism. See their flyer ALL OUT to Protect and Keep Safe the Arab and Muslim community!

The Muslim and Black protestors, however, readily exposed latent anti-Semitism within Muslim and Black cultures, swearing vulgarities at Rabbi Shifren, and cat-calling for him to "Go back to Auschwitz with the rest of your 6 million fucking Jews," belying BAMN's leftist, rally-organizer, Donna Stern's "anti-racism" mantra.



The martinet Dearborn Police, who chided me on the street for taking a still photograph (and who can be seen in the video with riot-gear clad officers) notably under-protected Pastor Jones' contingent as they attempted to walk to the Arab Festival. The BAMN mob were not prevented from getting directly in Pastor Jones' face, confronting him with signs and blaring megaphones.
