"Son of Hamas" reveals to rabbi: Israel's problem is that Islam hates Jews; Palestinian leaders sacrifice citizens to malign Israel, steal aid

"Son of Hamas" author, Mosab Hassan Yousef, warns a mixed Christian, Jewish and Muslim audience in L.A. that global Islamism's theological enmity for Jews is fueling pan-Arab Palestinian nationalism to destroy the Jewish state of Israel.

A small group of Muslim men vocally expressed their disdain for Mr. Yousef, booing him and disruptively heckling him "You're a scumbag!" - inadvertently confirming the veracity of his public revelations in this conversation with Rabbi David Eliezre of Chabad of Orange County.

Once poised to lead Hamas's political wing, Mosab Hassan Yousef made a dangerous, courageous and heroic decision -- he is now risking everything to expose closely-guarded secrets that have rocked the Middle East.

The appearance of the Christian-convert Mr. Yousef - organized by Rabbi Moshe Bryski of Chabad of Conejo Valley - attracted an audience of over 1,000 people, including a constituency from St. Paschal Baylon's Roman Catholic Church in Thousand Oaks. Filmed live by DemoCast.TV in Westlake Village, California on Feb 21, 2011.

The truth about “the occupation” and “the settlements”

The truth about “the occupation” and “the settlements” by Ted Belman

The pro-Palestinian propaganda machine has succeeded in stigmatizing the
Israeli occupation and the settlements. Time and again we hear about the “brutal
occupation” and the “illegal settlements.” We rarely hear the truth in
opposition to these lies.

(Recorded at CPAC 2009 in Washington). Screening: Poles welcome Cantors home in documentary "100 Voices: The Journey Home; Post-screening discussion with filmmakers and songwriter Charles Fox

Screening of 100 Voices: A Journey Home. It's a beautiful and uplifting story that focuses on modern day cantors (including Cantor Nathan Lam) who band together on a concert tour inside Poland. Visiting the Warsaw ghetto and other central sites they retrace physical streets and bring forth the rich heritage that thrived in pre-war Poland.

The surprise of the film is that the beautiful Jewish culture their fathers embraced during the golden age of cantors is now being brought back by the Polish people who enjoy the music as much as we do. It's fascinating.

Sunday morning February 6th 11am. Laemmle Town Center 5, Encino, CA with Q&A afterwards with Cantor Nathan Lam, film director/producer Danny Gold, songwriter/composer Charles Fox and LA JEWISH FILM FESTIVAL Exec. Director Hilary Helstein.

Rev. William Hechler, instrumental Christian advocate for Theodore Herzl, commemorated by fellow Zionists

Rev. William Hechler
(The Jerusalem Post) by Jonny Paul.  Israeli officials, int'l and local British Jewish leaders attend tombstone commemoration of Rev. William Henry Hechler in London.

Rev. William Henry Hechler was pivotal to Herzl’s diplomatic successes, allying himself with the emerging Zionist movement and providing Herzl with key introductions to German royal society.

Hechler had been a close friend of Archduke Frederick I of Baden and a tutor to his children.

In 1896, while serving as the chaplain for the British Embassy in Vienna, he read Herzl’s newly written pamphlet, “The Jewish State,” and immediately understood the centrality and importance of Herzl’s work as complementary to his belief in the prophetic biblical restoration of the Jews.

New tombstone in New Southgate Cemetery in London
In 1893, Hechler published his own broadsheet, “The Restoration of the Jews to Palestine according to the Prophecy,” and anticipated that the days of the Jewish salvation would begin in 1897-1898.

With Hechler’s and the Archduke’s assistance, Herzl met the sultan of Turkey, Abdul Hamid II, in 1896 and German Kaiser Wilhelm II in 1898. ...
Jerry Klinger – president of the Jewish American Society for Historic Preservation, an organization that identifies and recognizes sites of American Jewish Historical interest (which arranged the headstone for Hechler's forgotten grave) --   noted that “It has long been recognized that without Hechler’s intercession and support, Herzl may have simply remained an obscure, eccentric Viennese journalist. The course of Zionism, and possibly the very founding of the modern State of Israel, may not have been successful.”

Our World: Clueless in Washington
by Caroline Glick
Does the US fail to understand what will happen to its strategic interests in the region if the Muslim Brotherhood is the power behind the throne of the next regime?
The problem is the character of the protesters is not liberal. 84% of Egyptians support executing any Muslim who changes his religion.
Indeed, their character is a bigger problem than the character of the regime they seek to overthrow.
What all of this makes clear is that if the regime falls, the successor regime will not be a liberal democracy. Mubarak’s military authoritarianism will be replaced by Islamic totalitarianism. The US’s greatest Arab ally will become its greatest enemy. Israel’s peace partner will again become its gravest foe.
The US policy towards Egypt is dictated by the irrational narcissism of two opposing sides to a policy debate that has nothing to do with reality.
Add to that Obama’s electoral concern about looking like he is on the right side of justice and we have a US policy that is wholly antithetical to US interests.
This presents a daunting, perhaps insurmountable challenge for the US’s remaining authoritarian Arab allies. In Jordan and Saudi Arabia, until now restive publics have been fearful of opposing their leaders because the US supports them. Now that the US is abandoning its most important ally and siding with its worst enemies, the Hashemites and the Sauds don’t look so powerful to their Arab streets. The same can be said for the Kuwaiti leadership and the pro-American political forces in Iraq.
As for Israel, America’s behavior towards Egypt should put to rest the notion that Israel can make further territorial sacrifices in places like the Golan Heights and the Jordan Valley in exchange for US security guarantees. US behavior today – and the across-the-board nature of American rejection of Mubarak – is as clear a sign as one can find that US guarantees are not credible.
